Victim identified Police yesterday released the name of the man found shot Aug. 22 in the 2400 block of E. Lanvale St., who died a short time later at Johns Hopkins Hospital, as Travon Garrison, 28, of the 2900 block of Edison Highway. Witnesses told police that Garrison was standing on the sidewalk near North Milton Avenue about 2:15 a.m. when someone shot him multiple times before fleeing. Police responding to shots fired found Garrison bleeding from gunshot wounds. He was taken by a city Fire Department ambulance to the hospital and died nearly two hours later. No arrest had been made. Metro Crime Stoppers, 410-276-8888, is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and an indictment in the killing.Southeastern Baltimore
Burglary A bicycle valued at $450 was stolen Monday from a house in the 2000 block of Fleet St. by someone who entered through the front door.Burglary A black-and-green mountain bike and a laptop computer were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1800 block of Gough St. by someone who broke in through a kitchen window.
Burglary Police were seeking the person who broke into a house in the 2000 block of Fountain St. through the front window Tuesday and stole a computer and an iPod.
Robbery A gunman who attempted to rob Popeye's Chicken in the 3400 block of Pulaski Highway was being sought. The man entered the business through a side door about 9:40 p.m. Monday, jumped behind the counter and ordered an employee to give him money from a cash register. When the employee had trouble opening the register, the man tried to open it but failed. He then fled on foot without any money or property. Police said the gunman was wearing a Chicago Bears football jersey with the No. 54 on the back.
Robbery A man, 47, was standing in the 100 block of N. Decker Ave. about 2 a.m. Monday when two younger men, one armed with a handgun, demanded his money. When one of the men searched the victim's pockets and found no money, they took a 12-pack of beer and a book bag.
Robbery Police were seeking a gunman who shoved a man, 54, to the pavement in the 3300 block of Mueller St. about 1 a.m. Tuesday and robbed him of his wallet and $50 while threatening to shoot him. The victim was not injured.
Stolen vehicle A silver-colored 2003 GMC Yukon with tags 396M818 was stolen Tuesday in the 1800 block of Lamley St.
