Traffic complications expected this afternoon for Ravens game

Tonight's Ravens football game and road closures for emergency water main repairs are likely to complicate downtown traffic starting this afternoon.

West Street between Leadenhall and Hanover streets are closed due to emergency water main repairs, according to the Baltimore Department of Transportation.

In addition, road closures near M&T Bank Stadium will begin at 2 p.m., well before the 7 p.m. start of tonight's football game between the Ravens and the Atlanta Falcons.

Those driving south to park in lots G and H should use Hamburg Street to Leadenhall Street, to West Street. Northbound drivers will take Ostend Street to Leadenhall Street to West Street. Drivers leaving lots G and H after the game will take Leadenhall Street to Hamburg and Ostend streets.

Transportation officials recommend that fans and ticket-holders who do not have parking permits for stadium lots use public transportation to get to the game. Drivers without parking permits should use commercial lots and should not park in neighborhoods because vehicles violating parking regulations will be ticketed and towed.
