Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.
Shooting A woman, 40, was sitting with several other people on the steps of a house in the 2000 block of N. Pulaski St. about 10 p.m. Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, left a nearby alley and fired several shots, hitting the woman in the right shoulder and a forearm. The woman was treated at a hospital and was expected to survive. It was not known whether the woman was the gunman's intended target.
Theft A global positioning system device, a small refrigerator and $40 were stolen Sunday from a 2005 Toyota van parked in the 1000 block of Covington St.
Theft/arrest An 11-year-old boy was arrested Sunday when he attempted to leave Best Buy in the 600 block of E. Pratt St. without paying for a car cigarette lighter adapter valued at $25.
Theft A multispeed bicycle, secured to a light pole in the 400 block of N. Charles St. and valued at $1,500, was stolen Saturday by someone who cut the lock and chain.
Theft Someone entered a Chevrolet Blazer parked in the first block of S. Howard St. on Saturday and stole a 7-inch TV, a cell phone, 60 compact discs, 12 digital video discs and video games. The property was valued at $1800.
Burglary A 35mm camera, jewelry, a video camera, $500 and a set of keys were stolen Saturday from a house in the first block of Cherry Blossom Way. Also stolen was the occupant's red, four-door 2000 Chevrolet Cobalt with tags 5DC S09.
Burglary A charcoal drawing valued at $50 was stolen Saturday from a house in the 500 block of Bloom St. by someone who entered through a rear door.
Burglary Someone entered a tavern in the 700 block of W. Pratt St. through a rear door over the weekend and removed $220 from a cash register.
Theft A radio and a radar detector were stolen Sunday from a 2003 Nissan Altima parked in the 100 block of S. Gay St.
Theft A man was about to enter the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the 300 block of Light St. on Sunday when another man stole a $1,200 laptop computer he was carrying.
Burglary A digital camera, cash, a cell phone and video games were stolen over the weekend from an apartment in the 900 block of St. Paul St.
Robbery A man, 40, was walking in the 1200 block of Edison Highway about 7:20 p.m. Sunday when a man armed with an unknown weapon robbed him of $17.
Robbery try Police were seeking a gunman who failed to rob a man, 69, in the 400 block of N. Gay St. about 3 p.m. Sunday, then fired several shots at the man as he fled. Police said at least one bullet struck the victim's vintage 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air parked nearby.
Burglary Several feet of copper down-spouting was stolen between Friday and Sunday from a house in the 3800 block of Greenway in Homeland.
Shooting A man, 20, was in the 3600 block of Ash St. in Hampden about 12:30 a.m. Sunday when he was shot in the stomach. The victim was in good condition at a hospital.
