Public library reaches 4 million circulation
The Harford County Public Library reached a new milestone with a circulation of 4 million in one fiscal year on May 30.
"We are thrilled as an organization to see the increased usage of our library system," said Audra Caplan, library director.
Annual circulation has steadily increased over the past 30 years. In 1978, the library reached 1 million in circulation, 2 million in 1988, and 3 million in 2005.
The library operates 11 branches throughout Harford County and serves more than 180,000 registered borrowers.
