Howard Baldwin is the president and CEO of Baldwin Entertainment, which has produced films such as 'Ray,' 'Sahara' and 'Swimming Upstream.' Prior to his film career, Baldwin also played a large role in creation and ownership of multiple sports teams. At the age of 28, he founded the New England Whalers ice hockey franchise in the WHA. Baldwin went on to own part of the Minnesota North Stars and Pittsburgh Penguins National Hockey League franchises. He also co-brokered the merger of the WHA with the NHL. Baldwin is currently working with Global Spectrum on an event center in Des Moines, Iowa that will house Baldwin¿s American Hockey League franchise.
