Wet 'n Wild is a 30-acre water amusement park on International Drive, a major tourism artery of Orlando, Fla. Founded in 1977 by George Millay (developer of SeaWorld theme parks), it is considered the first major water park in the United States.
The park comprises 17 rides, including thrill rides (using funnels, tunnels, tubes and propulsion) and slides (one with a 250-foot, near-vertical drop), a wave pool, multi-person raft rides, a "lazy river" floating stream and kids areas.
