Opened in 1996, this museum of oddities is one of Atlantic City's most popular summertime attractions. Here you can see the world's only miniature medieval castle -- a wood-carved marvel that took over 30 years to create and was displayed on the city's boardwalk in the 1950s. Among the 400 exhibits you'll also discover a roulette wheel made entirely of jellybeans, a 15-foot section of the Berlin Wall and an authentic Vampire Killing Kit. The morose will want to visit the gallery dedicated entirely to disasters and human survival stories. Here you can view video footage of a human shark attack and see the wax figure of a man who was impaled in the chest with a fence post and lived to tell about it.
The museum is located between the Sands and Resorts Casino: You can't miss the crumbling façade that looks as if it's just been squashed by planet earth. Ripley's is handicapped-accessible and parking is available in a public lot on New York Avenue.--Alexis Sweeney
